As long time experts in helping clients optimize their marketing tech stacks, the Resource Boxe team lives on the front lines of Digital Marketing. In addition to creating tons of targeted content, as outlined in this post from Mike Rogers, we also focus on helping companies Transform Sales and Marketing Operations.
One of the keys trends we’re watching (like everyone else) is the rise of AI tools and figuring out when where and how to deploy them. There is a lot of hype and exuberance surrounding the AI wave, but that doesn’t mean companies can just take a “wait and see” attitude or they’ll risk getting left behind.
We find it helpful to segment the marketing AI question into three segments:
- Big Picture Technology Trends
- Embedded AI Tools Being Added to Marketing SaaS Platforms
- Leveraging Additional AI Tools for Hyper-Targeting Content
From a big picture standpoint, AI tools can analyze vast amounts of data from various sources, providing deep insights into customer behavior, preferences, and market trends. This allows marketers to make informed decisions based on real-time data rather than relying solely on historical analytics. The convergence of AI with business transformation and an agile mindset represents a powerful synergy that drives innovation, operational efficiency, and adaptability in modern organizations. This post from Trevor Lovegrove, our collaborator on business transformation projects, provides a great overview: Convergence of AI, Agile and Business Transformation. The key big picture message is to start by understanding how prepared (or unprepared) you are, as well as determining what are the business imperatives that need to be addressed first and what outcomes you’re looking for.
Regarding the surge of embedded AI tools that are popping up in virtually all marketing platforms, so far these are mostly AI copywriting tools that are focused on natural language processing (NLP) functions to support AI content generation or rewriting. While it sometimes seems like little more than a cosmetic reshuffling of content, there can be significant value in having such embedded AI rewrite capability in situ right in the marketing platform as you’re working on creation of blogs, emails, etc. It’s mostly useful for situations where you’ve already created some content and you want to reword it for A/B testing of messages or if you need variations to avoid posting duplicate content.
Hyper-Targeted AI-enabled Content in the hands of AI-experts can be a true game changer for both top-of-funnel lead-generation campaign and bottom-of-funnel Account-Based Marketing (ABM) sales-engagement. As long time users of HubSpot workflows, sequences and other CRM automation tools, the Resource Boxe team knows that the hardest part of managing these automated campaigns is being able to create relevant, targeted content to match your various Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) at scale. This why I’m very excited to introduce the collaboration below!
